We will do a read-through to identify major problems, clarity of ideas and their progression, drab parts that need trimming, conclusions that can be made stronger, and suggestions for rewrites.

Submit fiction up to 3,000 words and receive margin comments and a 1-page critique focusing on the strengths of the writing and targeted recommendations for revision.

Submit up to 5 poems (up to 1,000 words total) and receive a 1-page critique and margin comments focusing on the strengths in your poems and targeted recommendations for improvement. We will identify ways to hone voice, theme, and structure to generate an effective poem. We will identify major problems in word choice, line and/or stanza length, use of poetic devices, and suggestions for rewrites.
